| Description | Experienced gardeners are trained volunteers available to assist the general public with their gardening needs * purpose is to teach people more about growing plants and to extend information and technical assistance in the areas of horticulture and gardening * activities include gardening advice by email or at clincis at shopping malls, garden centres, public gardens, libraries, fairs * educational sessions with guest speakers, workshops or demonstrations * development of horticultural programs for retirement homes, schools, youth groups and other organizations * Master Gardeners are not "gardeners for hire" |
