| Description | Philips Lifeline is a personal response service that lets clients summon help any time - even if they can't speak. By pressing the Personal Help Button, worn on a wristband or pendant, a trained Personal Response Associate will ensure you get help fast. Lifeline services include: * Equipment designed to be easy to use for people with vision problems * Falls prevention education and assessment tools * Various assistive devices * Telephone reminder option allowing scheduling of appointments, medication times, etc. Falls Prevention: This service decreases the fear of falling for subscribers (which in itself can increase falls) by providing the educational and physical tools to prevent falls from occurring. In addition, this service provides early intervention should a fall occur, which could mean the difference between moving to an assisted living facility or returning home. Philips Lifeline is a member of the Staying Independent Falls Prevention Coalition (SIFPC) Also offers several different falls in-services and falls presentations to health care and community groups | |||
