| Description | The Foundation supports and encourages the research into the incidence, causes, treatment, and prevention of all kidney diseases. This Branch provides programs or referrals to local community programs designed to meet the social and physical needs of kidney patients.
Patient services include renal education * KIDNEY CONNECT Peer Support Group * information manuals on kidney disease * videos * DVDs * travel loans for dialysis patients travelling out of province and short-term emergency financial assistance.
Accepts donations of recyclable and reusable clothing and household goods 1-800-414-3484
March is Kidney Health Month. Kidney Car Program (1-866-788-2277) welcomes donations of unwanted motor vehicles, running or not, for auction or salvage. Donors will have their vehicles towed free of charge and receive an income tax receipt. Proceeds support Kidney Foundation research, programs and services.
