Description & Services
Description	Serves the Community by providing protection from fire, life threatening emergencies and dangerous conditions through education * prevention * rescue * suppression * basic life support services.     Provides public education * fire suppression * fire safety programs. 'Fire Prevention Week' events are held in October.     Open Fire violations fall under this office and a burning permit is required for an open fire. Fire permits are available at any Tay Library or the Township Offices.     Smoke alarms are required on every floor of a house or apartment unit and must be maintained by the occupant or owner.
