DescriptionJavelin Co-operative Homes administers 72 units of one, two, and three bedrooms, half of which are rent-geared-to-income housing for families, senior citizens and a small number of disabled people, including low-income single persons, childless couples and all other types of households. Assaulted women with children needing permanent subsidized housing are eligible for special priority. All rent-geared-to-income housing is available on the basis of need alone and date of application. Rent-geared-to-income application are completed by Simcoe County Housing. Rent is calculated on a scale that is geared to gross household income.
