Description & Services
DescriptionHuronia Transition Homes provides services to women 16 years of age and older across Simcoe County. Huronia Transition Homes consists of 3 programs:  
1. La Maison Rosewood Shelter - a 15 bed emergency shelter for abused women and their children located in Midland. Services include: a residential program; confidential supportive counselling; legal advocacy and information; support groups for women and children; 24 hour telephone crisis line and, community referrals.  
 
Services for homeless women and their children include a 5 bed emergency shelter  
program. 
 
2. Athena's Sexual Assault Counselling & Advocacy Centre - provides confidential support to women across Simcoe County who have survived sexual violence. Offices are located in Barrie, Alliston, Collingwood, Midland and Orillia.  
 
3. Choices for Children - provides group services to children and their mothers who have been exposed to violence in the home. This program is offered in Barrie, Alliston, Collingwood, Midland and Orillia. 
 
All programs are free and confidential.
