|Description||The publicly funded Simcoe County District School Board offers a broad range of educational services in a mixed urban and rural community covering 4,800 square km. The system's priorities and directions are outlined in the multi-year plan, The Simcoe Path, at www.scdsb.on.ca. |
The Board educates nearly 50,000 students in more than 100 schools. Students in grades K-8 are eligible for transportation if the distance between the home and the school exceeds 1.6 km. Students in grades 9-12 are eligible for transportation if the distance between the home and school exceeds 3.2 km. The Board has six Adult Learning Centres. Families of students new to Canada are invited to contact the Newcomer Welcome Centre at (705) 725-8360 ext. 310. To verify which school your child/children should be attending you may contact the property and planning department at (705) 734-6363 ext. 11291.
Kindergarten registration usually begins in January or February. Parents should contact the school their child will attend. For registration information visit www.scdsb.on.ca.
