DescriptionThe mission of the Patient/Client and Family Council is to establish a true partnership between patients/clients, mental health caregivers and the community to support patients during treatment, recovery and return to their community of choice. Goals include: Provide support and work directly with patients/clients and family members; Provide information & education with regards to choices, self advocacy, recovery, critical thinking & leadership training; Liaison to help resolve issues with Waypoint Centre's administration, caregivers and the community; Represent the client perspective on relevant Waypoint Centre's committees; and Participate in the development & evaluation of Waypoint Centre's policy recommendations.
