DescriptionThe blue box recycling program collection day is the same day as regular garbage pick-up.  
 
Current materials accepted in your Containers Blue Box include: 
* newspapers (and inserts) * fibre egg cartons * glass bottles and jars (wash container, remove lids and recycle them) * all empty food/beverage/paint/aerosol metal cans * plastic containers with a 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 or 7 in the recycling symbol triangle usually found on the bottom of the container * clear plastic clamshell packaging * Tetra-Paks, Milk Cartons and Cardboard Cans * aluminum trays and foil. NOTE: All non-paper goods should be rinsed. 
 
Current materials accepted in your Paper Fibres Blue Box include: 
* boxboard * household paper such as envelopes and writing paper * paperback books or books with hardcovers removed * newspapers/magazines * catalogues * phone books * corrugated cardboard (up to three bundles placed beside blue box)
