| Description | Peaceworks is an activist group of concerned citizens from Huronia North who are convinced that through informed dialogue and civic action a better future for our community, our country and our planet can be created. The group believes that people must continue to press for peaceful solutions to local, national and international disputes.Through education and activism the members of Peaceworks promote human rights and social justice at home and abroad.The group organizes fundraising lunches to support specific international needs. Besides this educational series, Peaceworks lobbies government and demonstrates to raise awareness on national and international issues. |
