|Description||The Easter Seal Society, Ontario is dedicated to helping children, youth and young adults with physical disabilities achieve their full individual potential and future independence. Easter Seals funds disability solutions through financial assistance, summer camp, the Recreational Choices funding program, advocacy, and public and consumer education. |
Fundraising and Awareness are the responsibility of our local volunteer District Councils. Fundraising programs consist of: * Penny Power * Paper Eggs * Golf Tournament * Snowarama * Telethon * Power Play * Hot Night In The City * a direct mail campaign to Send Kids to Camp.
Raising a child with a disability can cost up to $40,000 a year for equipment and medical treatment. Easter Seal funding starts where other funding stops.
Appropriate referrals to this agency include Scoliosis, Neuromuscular/skeletal disorders (spina bifida, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy).
