DescriptionThe Ontario Women's Directorate (OWD) provides focus for government action on issues of concern to women. A division of the Ministry of Citizenship and Immigration, the OWD has two key areas of activity: preventing violence against women and promoting women's economic independence. The Directorate works towards achieving its goals of safety and economic well-being for women, in part, by fostering partnerships with and among different sectors of society. OWD Grant Programs for organizations include:  
 
* Microlending for Women in Ontario 
* Building Aboriginal Women’s Leadership Program 
* Domestic Violence Employment Training Program 
* Investing in Women's Futures 
* Promoting Healthy Equal Relationships 
* Women in Skilled Trades/ Information Technology Training for Women
