| Description | County of Simcoe has four Household Hazardous Waste facilities offering free, safe disposal of acceptable materials. The County of Simcoe reserves the right to limit items and quantities. Materials must be delivered in containers that can be left behind. If products are not in their original container, please label to identify the material type. HHW materials are accepted at the following Waste Disposal Facilities: * Oro Landfill, 610 Old Barrie Road West, Township of Oro-Medonte * Nottawasaga Landfill, 5715 30-31 Sideroad, Township of Clearview * Bradford Transfer Station, 2960 Line 12 Bradford * North Simcoe Transfer Station, 1700 Golf Link Road, Town of Midland *All County residents can access the City of Barrie HHW Depot, Tel: (705) 739-4219. Residents of Oro-Medonte, Ramara and Severn can also access the City of Orillia HHW Depot, Tel: (705) 325-3522. Volume restrictions are in effect in both locations. The release of hazardous wastes into the environment is a growing environmental and social concern. With over 50,000 types of chemicals in commercial use in Canada, consumers play a critical role. We purchase chemically based household products and create a problem with them by disposing of the wastes from these products in inappropriate ways. | |||
