MS Walk Planning Committee Volunteer Member	Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, Simcoe County Chapter		The MS Walk is the MS Society of Canada’s single largest fundraising event. We are looking for dedicated individuals to assist with planning this amazing event that focuses on inspiring and empowering walkers to take action in raising funds and joining the movement to end MS.   The MS Walk Committee is typically made up of many different individuals with varied experiences and chaired by an experienced volunteer who works with all committee members to ensure everyone is working together to reach common goals and having the best experience possible. An MS Society staff person also sits on the committee to assist with planning and acts as a main resource.   There are a variety of different positions available such as TeamMS Coordinator, Recruitment and Stewardship Coordinator, Volunteer Coordinator, Local Sponsorship Coordinator, Logistics Coordinator, Promotions Coordinator, Entertainment Coordinator and many more! The entire committee works together to establish goals, time frames and responsibilities to ensure everyone’s needs and availabilities are kept in mind. Committees meet monthly from January- May.    Volunteers are needed in New Tecumseth, Collingwood, Midland, Orillia and Barrie.
General Event Volunteers	Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, Simcoe County Chapter		Helping out at planned events, various duties are available during an event that are held mainly on the weekends during the daytime.     MS Walk - Five MS Walks in Simcoe County: Barrie, Collingwood, Midland, Orillia, New Tecumseth (Alliston)  Be a walker - walk on your own or form a team  Be a committee member   Meetings are held once a month   Volunteer the day of the event  The MS Walk will take place in May, 2013    MS Carnation Campaign   Be a committee member  Meetings held once a month Feb, Mar, Apr, May and June  Volunteer for the day of the event    MS Leap of Faith Beach Volleyball Tournament (Tyndale Park, Barrie)  Form a team and compete  Be a committee member (* currently seeking new/additional committee members*)  Meetings are held once a month - Jan, Feb, Mar, Apr, May, June, July  Volunteer for the day of the event    Dragon Boat (Takes place at the Barrie Lakefront)  Be a rower  Be a committee member  Meetings take place once a month - Apr, May, June, July, Aug.  Collect pledges without rowing  Volunteer for the day of the event

Barrie		Volunteers within Leisureworld can perform a number of different duties including: Recreation/programming (such as playing cards, dancing, aromatherapy, engaging residents in discussion, etc.), administrative duties, assisting residents in the dining room, doing manicures, assiting on resident outings, welcoming new residents to the home, planning and organizing special events, and much more.

Event Assistant	Huronia Triathlon, Duathlon and Kids of Steel, Multi-Sport Canada		Various duties including assisting with refreshment distribution, directing traffic, directing participants, set up and take down of event structures. This is a fun filled day with a great deal of satisfaction in supporting triathletes of all ages and abilities.
Sorting Volunteer for Barrie Christmas Cheer	Barrie and District Christmas Cheer		Volunteers needed to sort and pack food and toys. Cafe Helper	Woods Park Care Centre		Serve customers with a daily lunch special and assist with working the cash machine
Camp Volunteer	Camp NeeKauNis		Camp NeeKauNis is run entirely by volunteers. This means we are always looking for people, both young and old, to work as staff at camp. Positions typically include: Kitchen Staff, Choreperson, Child Care, Program Staff, Cabin Leaders, Arts and Crafts Leaders. There are two weekends (spring & fall) and one full week in spring/early summer dedicated to camp cleaning and maintenance. Some construction/renovation activities will allow us to teach a volunteer various skills. Camp is always looking for adults to fill the following leadership roles: Camp Directors, Head Cooks, Work Project Leaders.
Event Assistants	Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, Simcoe County Chapter		Mandate and set-up information booths at various locations throughout Simcoe County.     Assist at fundraising events, helping with food preparation, greeting and registering participants, marshalling, take down and clean up as required.
General Volunteer	Bob Rumball Home for the Deaf		* assist with client based activities such as arts and crafts, meal times  * assist with special events and programs  * general office help including reception desk  * Café assistance serving food, clearing tables etc.  * physical maintenance of the residence and landscape

Georgian Bay General Hospital Volunteer	Georgian Bay General Hospital, Volunteer Association		Help out at the Georgian Bay General Hospital, in Penetanguishene or Midland, in various areas such as patient services * coffee bar * gift shop * information desk * palliative care depending on volunteer's skills and abilities and hospital needs. Volunteers are also needed for fundraising activities and events. To apply complete an application form which is available at either hospital site at the information desks or gift shops.
Good Food Box Volunteer Packers and Drivers	Georgian Good Food Box (The), Collingwood		Volunteer drivers assist with deliveries of food boxes to distribution sites and/or individuals in the surrounding communities.     Volunteers help with packing fruits and vegetables for monthly good food box orders.
Packing Volunteer	North Simcoe Good Food Box Program		Volunteers are needed to assist with packing fruits and vegetables to fill good food box orders each month.
Program Assistant	Georgian Bay Native Women's Association		Help with setting up for prenatal programs, purchasing and preparing snacks and provide child and infant care.
Retirement Lodge Volunteer	Bayfield House Retirement Lodge Inc.		We are looking for dynamic volunteers of all ages for various positions within the Lodge including but not limited to Wellness, Recreation, Administration, Maintenance, and Food Service. Volunteer hours are flexible!
