Vision Mate	CNIB, Barrie Office		CNIB Simcoe/Muskoka is looking for Vision Mates to share their vision with someone who is blind or partially sighted. Vision Mates provide regular, one-to-one assistance and companionship for a person who is blind or partially sighted. Matches are made with someone who lives close to your home, school or work. You visit once a week for a couple of hours to assist with four main tasks: reading, errands (like groceries and shopping), going for walks, and socializing (Vision Mates do not drive or provide personal care).

Clinic Volunteer (Canadian Blood Services. Midland - Blood Donor Clinics	Canadian Blood Services, Barrie Area Office, Blood Donor Clinic		On Clinic volunteers are our goodwill ambassadors in the blood donor clinics. The position is essentially one of customer service. The clinic volunteer is not involved in anything that requires: medical/technical skills, dealing with blood, or movement of heavy equipment, these functions are carried out by the clinic staff only.    The volunteer's role is to provide individual attention to the blood donors ensuring that he or she feels appreciated and happy with their experience so that they will continue to donate blood, fulfilling an ongoing demand for blood and blood products.    The application for volunteering is available on the website and it is most efficient to complete that and allow their volunteer coordinator to contact you.

First time donors are always welcome. Bring a buddy and donate together! One hour of your time donating one unit of blood can save three lives. Camp Counsellor	Camp Trillium Childhood Cancer Support Centre		Volunteers are matched up with families along with our staff as Special Friends and help our families have an unforgettable time. This is a sleepover program, volunteers stay in our counselor accommodations and are asked to arrive the day before camp starts for training and orientation. Room and board are provided.
