| Description | Ecumenical ministry which receives support from the Barrie Community, County of Simcoe, FaithWorks and Churches * provides affordable and secure housing and support services for women, children and families who have been affected by spousal abuse, poverty or family violence * provides support and educational programs for women, children and families * offers adult computer courses which introduce the basics of PC's and word processing TRANSITIONAL HOUSING AND PROGRAMS for women and children recovering from abusive relationships * separate, fully furnished apartments, providing long term, affordable housing, (up to one year) with support services for both adults and children RESOURCE CENTRE Drop-in, clothing and household items available every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 1 pm-3 pm * adult computer training Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 1:30 pm-3 pm * children's literacy program Monday 3:30 pm-5 pm for children from grades 1-8 at Andrew Hunter School and Tuesday 3:30 pm-5 pm at Angus Morrison School in Angus * children's sponsorship program * accepts donations (Monday-Wednesday 1 pm-3 pm, lower level of Burton Ave Church) of children's clothing, household items, computers, software, educational supplies as well as financial donations * registered charitable organization | |||
